Safety Congress & Annual Meeting
November 18-19, 2010
$325 $295 Members
$495 Non-Members
This is the safety conference you do not want to miss! Choose from a variety of sessions covering the very latest in safety and health topics. From OSHA certification courses to 30 minute “snapshot” presentations, the North Carolina Safety Congress offers a whole lot in a short amount of time. You will enjoy food, fun, and fellowship while you are learning from experts in safety sessions that range from basic to advanced subject matter. In other words, this conference is for everyone, no matter their level of expertise or experience.
Although Thursday, November 18, is the official start of the 2010 North Carolina Safety
Congress, attendees are invited to participate in one of three training programs beginning with lunch on Wednesday, November 17, at 11:30am. Sessions are held at the Council’s headquarters…five minutes from the Congress host hotel Embassy Suites Charlotte. Begin your Congress with an OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification class, NFPA 70E Arch Flash, or National Safety Council CPR training. Best of all—it is free as Congress tuition ($295 member; $495 non-member) includes all sessions Wednesday through Friday. Also included are morning refreshments, three lunches, and the 50th Anniversary Banquet on Thursday evening.
And speaking of the Banquet, National Safety Council President Janet Froetscher is our keynote speaker. She will update attendees on the latest safety and health trends and NSC initiatives. After the Banquet, you may want to continue the evening at our private party with the dynamic sounds and entertainment of our DJ!
Friday sessions will continue through the morning and lead up to our Finale Luncheon. The Honorable Cherie Berry, Commissioner of Labor, will be our honored guest to recognize attendees. As an added bonus and returning from last year's Congress will be Chief Harry Dolan from the Raleigh Police Department. Don’t miss the Finale Luncheon as this is the event where you can win
some incredible prizes. We have been known to give away laptop computers, digital cameras, free training, gift baskets, and weekends at destinations like Myrtle Beach, Wilmington, or Asheville. This is the event where prizes donated by our thirty select exhibitors are also drawn for. Of course you must be present to win!
And this year there is extra excitement as we are celebrating our 50 year golden anniversary (1960-2010) of the Council’s half century of public service. Click below for more information and be sure to check back often as more exciting Congress news will be posted as it becomes available!
